Timetable Privacy Policy
Last updated: Dec 23, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Proper Bits Ltd ("Proper Bits", "we", "us", or "our")
collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Timetable mobile application
(the "App").
Who We Are
Proper Bits Ltd is the controller of your information and is based in the United Kingdom. If you have questions,
contact us using the details in the Contact Us section below.
Information We Collect
We only collect the information described below.
-
App content you enter: Your timetable, classes, homework, reminders, and notes
are stored locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account.
-
Shared timetables: If you choose to share or restore a timetable (including when
sending feedback in-app), we upload a compressed timetable file to our storage provider so you
can access it via a share code.
-
Usage data: We collect app usage events and non-identifying analytics such as
feature interactions, onboarding choices, and aggregate counts (e.g., number of classes or
assignments) to improve the App.
-
Device and diagnostics data: We collect device identifiers, IP address, app
performance, and crash logs to maintain stability and fix issues.
-
Advertising data: If you view ads, our advertising partners may collect device
identifiers and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads. Where required, this happens only after you
provide App Tracking Transparency consent on iOS or equivalent permissions on Android.
-
Support communications: If you contact support or send feedback, we collect the
content of your message, your optional email address, and any attachments you include.
-
Purchases: If you buy Premium, Apple handles payment information. We receive
purchase confirmation and entitlement status.
We do not collect sensitive categories of personal data unless you include them in support messages.
Legal Bases for Processing (UK/EU)
- Contract: To provide the App features you request, including sharing and restoring timetables.
- Legitimate interests: To understand usage trends, improve the App, and prevent abuse.
- Consent: For optional analytics and advertising choices where required by law.
- Legal obligations: To comply with applicable laws and regulatory requests.
When we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights and take steps to minimize
the impact on your privacy.
How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the App.
- Enable sharing and restoration of timetables.
- Measure and understand how features are used.
- Show and measure ads (if applicable).

How We Share Information
We share information with service providers that help us operate the App, including:
- Analytics: Amplitude and Firebase Analytics.

- Remote configuration: Firebase Remote Config.
- File storage: Firebase Storage (for shared timetables).
- Advertising: Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and mediation partners such as Meta

These providers may process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies and
data processing agreements.
Advertising partners may act as independent controllers for their own processing (for example, to provide and
measure ads).
We do not sell your personal data.
International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Our company is based in the UK. When data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate
safeguards to protect your information, such as standard contractual clauses or the UK International Data
Transfer Agreement.
Data Retention
We retain data only as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate business purposes.

- You can manage App Tracking Transparency permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can disable analytics collection by limiting ad tracking and analytics permissions in iOS.
- You can delete the App to remove locally stored data from your device.

Depending on where you live (including the UK and EU), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict
the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or request data portability. You can exercise
these rights by contacting us using the details in the Contact Us section below.
If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
If you are in the United States, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. You can request
information about your rights or submit requests through the Contact Us details below.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data
from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us.
